We are the women who left home. We left because we wanted more. More opportunities, bigger opportunities, bigger life. Different life. We wanted deep connections. Deep understanding. We wanted to be seen, to matter. To stay true to who we are in whatever we are doing. To discover what else we could be.
We are the Ubud girls, dressed in divinity and incense smoke. We are the curious Indonesian women, half here, half there, cautiously optimistic about ourselves and the future. We are the unsubtle kitties of Canggu, ready to blow minds, hearts and bank accounts. The mermaids of Amed. We are the secret communities in between. The quiet, bright ones writing poetry and running businesses. We all are here. The kaleidoscope girls.

Our Groups
Modern Women Bali is an introvert-friendly network of non-commercial online and offline communities. We are a hub for creatives, intellectuals, business women and other modern women living in and travelling to Bali, who aspire for something more substantial in life.
Women Who Write
Whether you’re scribbling for fun, trying to find your personal voice, building your business brand with words, or want to make it as a writer or a journalist – our Women Who Write groups are the best way to get unstuck, meet some badass women, and dive deeper into your the world of writing and reading. You’ll meet intelligent women, share ideas, swap book and author recommendations, and build connections that actually last.
We do creative prompts, writing exercises, famous writer work review, edit each other’s work, give feedback, get the work done and more. All genres are welcome—fiction, poetry, essays, journaling, and even entrepreneurs working on their content or brand story.

Women in Business
Our goal is to create and curate small high quality gatherings that give a genuine value to busy entrepreneurs. We understand the pressure on time and attention experienced by most entrepreneurs.
We offer mentorship and accountability support, as well as monthly in-person gatherings. Every first Thursday of the month we take a different aspect of business and zoom in with discussion focusing on real experience and practical tools. We organise value-driven networking with strong women, and facilitate collaboration opportunities. Connect with like-minded women here.
